Dr. Norton founded PreMD in 1992 and has since served as President and Chief Executive Officer and as a Director. Active in medical practice, management and research for over 15 years, Dr. Norton has represented and led multiple medical groups and scientific initiatives. As a physician-entrepreneur, his cross-functional knowledge and skills enable him to guide PreMD and its products from the scientific stage through to successful commercialization.

Dr. Norton serves as a Director on the boards of public and private medical companies in Canada and the U.S. and is an Advisory Council Member of the Richard Ivey School of Business MBA Biotech Program. He is also an active volunteer, previously serving as Chairman, Friends Project, for the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research and as a committee member of a Canadian Intergovernmental Economic Commission, Advanced Technology Group.

Dr. Norton completed his medical training at McGill University in 1984. He subsequently completed a Master of Business Administration (1989) degree at the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario.

Dr. Evelegh has 20 years of experience researching and developing human diagnostics, including product development, clinical trials, regulatory submissions and manufacturing. Dr. Evelegh leads PreMD’s scientific team at the company’s laboratory at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. He is also chiefly responsible for evaluating the scientific potential of new technologies for PreMD’s pipeline.

Prior to joining PreMD, Dr. Evelegh directed research teams at other Canadian biotechnology companies, including Biomira Diagnostics Inc., and has been an independent scientific and regulatory consultant. He holds a PhD in immunology from McMaster University.

Ms. Auld is a chartered accountant and completed her Bachelor of Commerce degree at Queen's University.  She has breadth of knowledge in both the biotechnology and financial industries and has worked in the biotechnology industry for over 7 years.  Ms. Auld has extensive experience in public company reporting as well as financing, licensing and partnership activities.

Ms. Auld was previously Chief Financial Officer of NeuroMedix Inc. and Interim Chief Financial Officer of ARIUS Research Inc. and, prior thereto, Chief Financial Officer of Transition Therapeutics Inc.  Ms. Auld is also currently a financial consultant within the biotechnology industry.

Mr. Currie has 17 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and health information fields in various senior sales and marketing positions for large multinational companies.

At PreMD, he is responsible for developing and implementing corporate business plans and for building alliances with other companies and organizations that complement PreMD and drive the company’s products towards commercialization. He leads efforts to acquire new technologies that fit with PreMD’s vision, and manages licensing initiatives for the marketing and distribution of PreMD’s products.

Mr. Currie has a degree in economics from the University of Western Ontario and is active in a number of community organizations.
