Pediatric Pilot Study

This pilot study tested skin cholesterol levels using PREVU* POC Skin Sterol Test in 25 children with hypercholesterolemia and 25 age- and gender-matched controls. The findings suggested that skin cholesterol levels can be measured reliably and safely (no adverse reactions) in children. Skin cholesterol levels did not vary with age or gender, which may make PREVU* a valuable asset in pediatric medicine.
